Tesco’s e-book platform blinkbox books has launched today (25th March).Can't help but think that this will be a major player in the book world from now on. Tesco are renowned for shaking things up, and expect a new pricing war to start soon. The BlinkBox app comes preloaded on Hudl tablets which has already sold over 500,000 units. The Hudl is a low-cost rival to the Amazon Kindle Fire.
The website sells hundreds of thousands of titles from a variety of publishers, which ranges from frontlist to backlist.
